Nadeem Babar

Founder Orient Power Company (Pvt) Ltd.

Babar is an investor and senior executive with extensive worldwide experience in energy supply chain, power generation, infrastructure, corporate finance and investment banking. In his career, he has developed, financed and/or managed power plants of all commercially available technologies, as well as other energy sector assets like pipelines, refineries and E&P assets. He has conducted business in 26 countries.

He started out as an investment banker with Drexel Burnham Lambert and Credit Suisse First Boston. Then moving to Energy & Power sector he was associated with El Paso International in Houston. He is the founder of Orient Power, Shams Power, Oursun and Saba Power.

Babar has also been Minister of State for Petroleum for Government of Paksitan from 2019 to 2021.

Babar holds a M.S. in Civil Engineering Management from Stanford University, a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Columbia University. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa (Liberal Arts) and Chi Upsilon (Civil Engineering) honor societies for academic excellence.
