William started his insurance career in 2005 and handed a global range of Upstream and Downstream Energy clients.

He joined Marsh UK in November 2008 and handled a broad spectrum of accounts focusing on complex Construction projects.

William joined the Marsh Dubai team in September 2012 where he was responsible for the design and execution of insurance placement services for a number of core MENA based clients right across the Energy value chain including refineries, petrochemical facilities, power plants, exploration & production assets as well as drilling units.

In 2016 William was promoted to lead the Energy & Power Placement team, and in 2020 became the Practice Leader for the Energy & Power Middle East & Africa team where he is responsible for leading a diverse team of placing brokers, clients executives, risk engineers and claims consultants. In 2023 the region was expanded to include India becoming the Energy & Power leader for Marsh’s new IMEA region.
